The general Project Organisation of the SWEET - Project is in responsibility
of the Project Leader.

The Project Leader is responsible for the general planning and management acitivities within the project.
The project organisation consists of three work packages.

Work packages

The members are responsible .....

Coordination

  • for the smooth running of the project from start until finish
  • to oversee the work carried out in the other work packages and that objectives are met
  • to ensure that deliverables and reports materilas at the set times
  • to organize kick-off, midterm and closing plenary project meetings
  • to develop the website
  • to manage the budget
  • to produce process and final reports, including evaluation reports

Dissemination

  • to ensure effective dessemination of the progress and outcome the project
  • to prepare articles on the objectives and outcome of SWEET
  • for publication in newsletters/ on websites of partners and relevant stakeholders and scientific and health magazines

       Evaluation     

  • to verify if the project is being implemented as planned and reaches the objectives
  • to plan and conduct of the pilot study

The members of these work packages are responsible for:

  • a successful process and completion of project 
  • a continously evaluation of project process and of interim results
  • the internal and external circulation and publication of project outcomes

The Project Leader of the SWEET - Project is Prof. Dr. Thomas Danne.
 
He is the Director of the Department of General Pediatrics and Endocrinology/Diabetology at the Kinderkrankenhaus auf der Bult in Hannover, Germany. He is presently appointed as President of the Interantional Society for Pediatric and adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) and of the German Diabetes Association (Deutsche Diabetes Gesellschaft).
 
 

 

 

 

 




            Steering Committee

The Steering Committee, consisting of 12 members from different institutions will be responsible for the scientific coordination of the SWEET Project. This also includes the scientific organisation of work packages during the planned meetings and the publication related work.

SWEET has establish an outside Advisory and Assessment Commitee (AAC) consisting of 8 members.

The AAC will assess the progress reports and advise on the running and progress of the project in general.This Committee, consisting of representatives High Level Group members, will be closely involved in monitoring the project as it develops, and can come forward with recommendations for improvements. The members will be invited to the planned meetings to incorporate other strategies and communicate the progress of the SWEET project.
